Leviticus – The LORD Speaks to Us Today
Pastor Albrecht’s New Bible Class Begins March 4 & 6
How many stories do you know from Genesis? Adam and Eve, Noah and the Flood, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. How about Exodus? The birth of Moses, the Ten Plagues, crossing the Red Sea, the Ten Commandments. Numbers? The bronze snake, Balaam and his talking donkey. Deuteronomy? The Ten Commandments (again) and the death of Moses.
How many stories do you know from Leviticus? Did you know that the inscription on the Liberty Bell is a passage from Leviticus? Why is Leviticus in the Bible? Isn’t it just a lot of obsolete rituals that we don’t have to worry about anymore? Leviticus can help you read the rest of the Bible.
The LORD speaks to us today in Leviticus. He says, “You shall be holy as I, the LORD your God, am holy.” This is a demand, a statement of fact, and a promise. How is this done?
Our conversation begins on Sunday, March 4 in the Fireside Room. It will be repeated on Tuesday mornings in the Fireside Room. All are welcome.
