The men meet on the first, third and fifth Saturdays of each month. In December, we begin our study of the most Old Testament book in the New Testament, the Epistle to the Hebrews. Who wrote it? For many years it was taken for granted that Hebrews had been written by St. Paul. But it is significantly different from Paul’s letters to the Romans, Galatians, Corinthians and Thessalonians. Martin Luther suggested that Hebrews may have been written by Apollos. We will look at some of the reasons why Luther said that. We will also consider the idea suggested by some commentators that Hebrews is actually a sermon. Your comments and questions are encouraged. All men are cordially invited to join us.
