In the early 1980s there were many inquiries to the church for services from both congregational and non-congregational families, seeking help with doctor appointments, grocery shopping, housework, and respite care. Marybelle Johnson, with the assistance of Pastor Johnson, assembled six women and formed a group to meet this need. Soon other members came forward, and the group became known as Care Corps. This group has grown to what it is today, a group of caring people who volunteer their time and talents to serve others who are in need of some help.
