There is a trinitarian shape to the second half of chapter two. How do the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit cooperate to bring both Jews and Gentiles into the one, holy, Christian and Apostolic Church? How does Paul use the language of Leviticus to preach the Gospel to Gentiles and Jews alike? Paul says there was “a dividing wall” between Jews and Gentiles. Where does this picture come from? Did Jesus come to abolish the Law or to nullify the Law? What is the difference? How does Paul’s letter to the Romans help us to understand this section of his letter to the Ephesians?
