Leviticus – The LORD Speaks to Us Today
The mandatory sin offerings are all about atonement and forgiveness. Now that we have considered the public sin offerings and the private sin offerings in chapter four, we come to an appendix in chapter five concerning four sins that require confession. Why would an eyewitness fail to come forward and testify in court? Does that ever happen today? How might a person become unclean without realizing it? How would such a person come to realize that he was unclean? To whom should he make his confession? How do confession and absolution work for us today? Your comments and questions are encouraged. All are welcome.
