Leviticus – The LORD Speaks to Us Today
The mandatory offerings for atonement may sound like a burden at first, but when we read chapters four and five, the repeated refrain is that the priest will make atonement for you and you will be forgiven. This is especially good news for a person who comes to realize that he has sinned unintentionally. There is still hope for you. But what if you cannot afford the required offering? God makes provision for cases of economic hardship. The point is that atonement and forgiveness are available to everyone. How do all these sin offerings point to Jesus?
