“What Difference Does the Trinity Make?” Christians teach that God is Triune, three persons in one God. The Church has struggled to confess this truth down through the centuries against great opposition. Athanasius (296-373 A.D.), a hero of the Christian Church, defended the doctrines of the Trinity and of Christ being both God and man so vigorously that the Athanasian Creed is named after him. We’ll recite it today. The Creed and the Scriptures both teach that salvation comes only by knowing and believing in the one true God, the Holy Trinity.
