Why I Thank God I Was Baptized a Lutheran Christian!
WELCOME to this service of worship and praise in honor of our gracious Triune God. God communes with us tonight through His Word and we respond with worship, thanks and praise. Yesterday, many congregations observed Reformation, commemorating the discovery of the Gospel that Martin Luther made and which he shared with the Roman Catholic Church of his day and with the people. Today, there is a tendency to downplay a person’s denominational membership, but denominations are important to indicate what a particular group of Christians believe and teach. Tonight, Pastor Stadler recalls the Reformation truths and his parents’ decision to have him baptized in the Lutheran Church: “Why I Thank God I Was Baptized A Lutheran Christian!”
