One of the major reasons many people get hearing aids is to hear better in church. Large rooms with hard surfaces are not hearing friendly. Even with the best sound system, reverberation and ambient noise are a problem for people with normal hearing and it’s even more challenging for people with a hearing loss.
A hearing loop (also known as an induction loop) is a wireless technology that works with telecoil (t -coil) hearing aids and cochlear implants to produce clear sound without feedback or background noise. A thin wire loop has been installed underneath the new tile floor in our sanctuary. It is connected to a loop amplifier that is connected to the sound system. The loop creates a magnetic field that can be picked up by any t-coil equipped hearing aid.
Our hearing loop system will bring the whole service straight to the ear of the listener via their t -coil equipped hearing aids that are set for their own hearing loss. A hearing aid user simply adjusts the switch on their hearing aid to the “t” position.
People who do not have a hearing aid or a hearing aid with a telecoil switch can use a small induction loop receiver and earphone to hear. Loop receivers and earphones will be available on the table by the door as you enter the sanctuary.

Let us always be grateful for the senses God has given us, sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.
