What is TreeHouse?
TreeHouse is a safe place for teens who are struggling with all sorts of things — poverty, abuse, family neglect. They get unconditional love and the expert guidance to heal and change their lives. Saint James has partnered with TreeHouse to use the program they pioneered to help teens in our own community.
The goal of the TreeHouse program is life transformation. The TreeHouse program provides caring relationships and balanced programs designed to meet social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual needs of at-risk teens. TreeHouse provides a safe environment as well as mentoring for teens to receive support, guidance and practical skills in making better choices today to live as healthy adults tomorrow.
Life transformation is demonstrated by four outcomes:
- Reduce at-risk behaviors
- Build healthy relationships with God, self and others
- Graduate High School
- Pursue an educational or vocational track for their future
Training for TreeHouse volunteers begins in summer 2016 and will launch in the fall. Contact Pastor Dale to find out the many ways available to get involved.
